Math 4 the Oilfield is a six hour course designed to help current and future oilfield workers understand the simple but very unique calculations used everyday in the oil and gas industry.  This training was specifically designed to meet a need expressed by oil company management when seeking new employees. 

This is an excellent math review prior to both Lease Pumper and Well Control training.  Both require math skills!

 

ACCURATE CALCULATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR BOTH SURFACE AND DOWNHOLE WORK!

Material covered in class

  • Basic math review.

  • Unit conversions.

  • Tank capacities, usage, and fill rates.

  • Daily lease production.

  • Sucker rod pump displacement.

  • Tubing, Pipe, Casing, and Hole volumes.

  • Annular volumes.

  • Hydrostatic pressure calculations.

  • Chemical usage and feedrate.

 

 

This training provides excellent knowledge for those seeking to start or advance their career in the oil and gas industry.  This is a good resume addition for oilfield job applicants and interviewees.  The cost of this 6 hour class is $80 and includes a Baker Hughes Engineering Handbook.
