On Oct. 17, Hobbs community members and New Mexico Junior College students had the chance to join a New Horizons Entrepreneurship Workshop hosted at the Workforce Training Facility. This workshop was a free, informative session designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in starting and growing their own businesses. The workshop, held from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, offered essential insights on building business plans, securing financing, business with the government, and understanding copyrights and trademarks.

Participants at the event gained great advice on each stage of the entrepreneurial journey—from launching a business and constructing a solid business plan to navigating intellectual property protections. The workshop agenda provided invaluable resources for budding entrepreneurs, setting them up for success in an increasingly competitive market.

The event was free, though registration was required due to limited seating. Attendees left with enhanced knowledge and practical steps to turn their business ideas into reality, contributing to the growing entrepreneurial landscape and were able to have one-on-one time in private with the speakers for any intricate questions. The even would like to thank the sponsors: New Mexico Junior College, New Horizons Foundations, and AOS.
