Accreditation
Accreditation
New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) opened on September 19, 1996. The college was granted NCA (now Higher Learning Commission) candidacy status in 1968. Initial accredidation status was granted in 1970 for a five year period. In 1976, NMJC was granted a ten year continuation of accredidation. The most recent HLC visit was in 2015. The next comprehensive evaluation visit is scheduled for February 2026.
