Required forms

 

Form W-4  – Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate
Form W-4 – This form is so that your employer can withhold the correct federal income tax from your pay.
 
Form I-9 - Employment Eligibility Verification
Form I-9 – This form is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States.
 

Social Security Card – Required per NMJC policy. It helps us accurately record your covered earnings.     

Direct Deposit form –  Direct deposit is highly recommended.

OPTION:  Donate to NMJC Foundation, with payroll deduction.

Required deductions

 

Federal and State Withholding
Medicare – 1.45%, paid by both NMJC and employee
Social Security – 6.2%, paid by the Employee up to $127,200. NMJC pays 6.2%
Retiree Health Care Authority (RHCA) – Employee pays 1%, NMJC pays 2%
Basic Life – NMJC pays 100% ($50,000 policy)
Workers’ Compensation – Employee pays $2.00 per quarter. Employer pays $2.30 per quarter.

 

Pay Schedule

 

All NMJC employees are paid semi-monthly.  Full-time employees are paid on the 15th and the last day of the month. Part-time employees are paid on the 10th and 25th day of the month.  If any of those pay days fall on Saturday, Sunday or a Holiday payment will be made the prior Friday for that particular pay period.  Paychecks are disbursed in the Business Office on payday from 8:00a.m – 5:00p.m.

All NMJC employees have access to their employee profile though the T-BirdWeb Portal.  Employees can view their benefits & deductions, job summary, leave balances, pay information, pay stub, payroll schedules, and tax forms. Employees can also update their address and phone number through the T-BirdWeb Portal.
