About Thunderbird Health Center

 

Nor-Lea Hospital District and New Mexico Junior College have partnered to provide a more health-driven environment for students and faculty of New Mexico Junior College. We are pleased to announce the upcoming opening of Thunderbird Health Center on your NMJC campus.

Thunderbird Health Center will be operated by Nor-Lea and will server patients suffering from minor illnesses, minor wounds and minor injures. Nor-Lea Hospital District is on a mission to provide reliable, accessible and exceptional healthcare to our communities. Let our professionals take care of you.

  • Sprains
  • Initial Broken Bone Assessments(Not including face, skull and pelvis)
  • Foreign Eye Body Assessments
  • Cold and Flu Symptoms
  • Ear Infections
  • Sore Throats
  • Nauses, Vomiting and Diarrhea
  • Urinary Tract Infections
  • Abscess Incisions and Drainage
  • Cuts and Lacerations

 

Thunderbird Health Center is now open! ONLY servicing: NMJC students, NMJC Employees and dependents on the NMJC insurance. The clinic provides limited acute care services.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

 

Jessica Barrera, CNP is the provider onsite; she began seeing patients on February 20, 2024. Currently the clinic is on the NMJC phone system. Appointments are preferred, walk-ins welcomed.
