NMJC Course Helps Better Equip Employers in the Workplace

December 9, 2005 — Hobbs, NM. Area employers can gain guidance on employment issues through New Mexico Junior College's personnel management business class.

The class, BU 223B, will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Monday evenings. The course will include: employment law, the selection process, employee terminations, benefits, motivation, employee performance evaluations and salary structure.

"The information in this course is valuable to both employers and employees," said NMJC professor of business and office technology Toni Dunn. "However, we will approach the topics from the employer's perspective."

Registration is currently under way. Students may register from now until the campus closes for Christmas vacation on Dec. 20. Registration will resume on Jan.4 and continue until Jan. 23; however, classes begin on Jan. 17.

Students who attended NMJC in the fall may go online at www.nmjc.edu and register at anytime from now until Jan. 23.
