NMJC Students Play to Learn

Students Playing Paintball photoOctober 5 – Hobbs, NM. Approximately 15 New Mexico Junior College students experienced a unique team building exercise when they traveled to a paint ball field in Lubbock, Texas. The students participating in the event represented various student organizations on campus.

The purpose of the trip was for students to get to know one another, work together, and rely upon each other to succeed. So often, graduating students enter the workforce straight from college having no experience working as a team with people they don’t know. These students will have a better advantage because of team building experiences provided through NMJC’s campus organizations.

Some of these kids wouldn’t have had this opportunity, but instead they had a day where all shared in fun, good fellowship, and bruises. It was a good day of team building.”

NMJC students attending the team building trip were Amanda Ables, Laura Aguilar, Prisma Brito, Eric Garcia, Brit Garlick, Bruce Herrera, Elias Jimenez, Nancy Luna, Wendy Mendoza, Michael Nicolella, Erica Pallares, Chris Pyeatt, Remy Reeder, Rebecca Silva, and Jamie Torres.
