NMJC Employees Participate in Boy Scout Training

September 19 – Hobbs, NM. Focusing on leadership skills instead of outdoor skills, the Boy Scout Wood Badge training course has helped three New Mexico Junior College employees refine their leadership skills.

The Wood Badge training, administered nationally by the Boy Scout Division, takes place over two weekends. The first weekend took place September 15, 16, and 17, and the second weekend is scheduled for October 6, 7, and 8 at Camp Jim Murray in Hobbs.

The Wood Badge training course, which has evolved to blend Scout craft skills and practical troop operations, hones contemporary leadership concepts.

NMJC employees participating in the local Wood Badge training are: Course Director Maria Vick, Robert Bensing, and Randy Cook.
