HOBBS, NM -- Chevron will present a check for $50,000 in scholarship funds for New Mexico Junior College students to Dr. Steve McCleery, president of NMJC, on Tuesday, April 30, at 1:45 p.m. on the main floor of the Lea County Events Center. Dr. McCleery will accept the funds on behalf of the New Mexico Junior College Foundation. The presentation is in conjunction with the Chevron Hobbs Hiring Event scheduled at 2 p.m. in the same location.
Half the scholarship funds will go to students seeking energy technology degrees, while the remaining $25,000 will go to students seeking associate’s degrees.
