Men's Chorus to Highlight NMJC and Community Band Fall Concert photo 10/20/2009 9:35:40 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. The New Mexico Junior College and Community Band will present An Afternoon of Spiritual Marches on Sunday, October 25, at 3 p.m., in the Watson Hall Auditorium.

Under the direction of Dr. Yau-Sun Wong, Professor of Music, the concert will feature a number of diverse marches composed by Karl King, John Philip Sousa, and William Steffe.

The program will include the following music: Free World March, Bonds of Unity, The Gallant Seventh, The Liberty Bell, The Fairest of the Fair, and the Battle Hymn. According to Wong, "To empower the triumphant victory of the Battle Hymn, the newly formed NMJC Men's Chorus will sing the seven vocal parts." The chorus consists of David Clark, Mark Jimenez, Mark Laster, Larry Harlin, John McCulloch, Collin Brooks, and Seth Herman.
