The Psi Theta Kappa chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at New Mexico Junior College is once again participating in Project Graduation: Feed a Body, Feed a Mind, an initiative designed to help alleviate hunger and illiteracy in our community.

Graduating students, their guests, NMJC students, faculty, staff and members of the community are asked to contribute non-perishable food items or children's books to be given to a local charity. There will be a drop-off area at the Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 8, at the Lea County Event Center. Donations can also be dropped off at the Cosmetology Department in NMJC's Watson Hall anytime during regular business hours.

According to Maria Vick, Cosmetology Program Coordinator and Project Graduation organizer, the project has been hosted by NMJC at commencement for several years as a way to help step in the elimination of hunger and illiteracy in Lea County.
