NMJC Fall Production of "The Murder Room"
10/10/2008 9:59:16 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. Looking for a dark and sinister performance to go see this fall? A serious murder mystery? No? Then you will thoroughly enjoy New Mexico Junior College Performing Arts Department's presentation of "The Murder Room." This comedic play by Jack Sharkey features a hilarious cast of characters, an alleged "murder," an expired feline, and the one place that might put it all together - the murder room.
From the director: "Down in the dark, damp basement there is a secret room behind the wine rack; a perfect place to hide a dead body - if in fact, one has a dead body to hide."
Under the direction of John Rice, the play will feature actors from NMJC's Theatre Department and the community. Cast includes Evan Witowski, Summer Robinson, Phillip Goad, Richard Barr, Briana Schneider, and Nicholas Weeks.
This will be the first time for five of the six actors to perform at NMJC," said Rice. "They are doing an excellent job! Please come to see the show if you can. It means a lot to the student performers to see you in their audiences."
Show times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 16-18, 2008, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 19, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
