NMJC Baseball Hitting Camp
7/23/2008 3:39:31 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. Batter Up! New Mexico Junior College will be holding a Baseball Hitting Camp for youth on Monday and Tuesday, July 28-29, 2008. The camp will be held on campus at the Ray Birmingham Thunderbird Field.
Children in the eight-to-twelve-year-old group will meet in the mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., while the 13-to-18-year-old group will meet from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each child will need to bring a glove, hat, bat, and clothing to play in. Snacks and water will be provided and each child participating will receive a camp T-shirt.
NMJC's new head baseball coach, Josh Simpson, will be instructing participants in hitting, catching, and team work. The youth will be learning and playing on the field in a fun group setting.
Cost for the camp is $45 per person, with funds going to support future camps and the NMJC baseball program. Registration forms are available at the Athletic Office in the NMJC Caster Center. Anyone interested can pre-register at the office through Friday, July 25, or register the first day of camp, Monday, July 28.
