Lightning Strikes Twice for an NMJC Employee

Lightning Strikes Twice for an NMJC Employee photo 6/18/2008 9:53:10 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. Not once, but twice now, New Mexico Junior College Administrative Assistant Grace Osornio has been recognized for outstanding customer service.

Earlier this year, Osornio was recognized as the first recipient of the monthly Hobbs Chamber of Commerce's "Pride Award for Customer Service." Now the Chamber's Board of Directors has recognized her as the 2007-2008 Outstanding Pride Award Recipient.

Osornio, along with four other individuals, was nominated for the honor at the last Chamber Education Committee meeting. After being selected, Osornio was presented the award at the 2008 Chamber of Commerce banquet.

To be acknowledged for outstanding customer service once is an achievement, but to be recognized a second time is, well, outstanding! One has only to stop by Grace Osornio's desk in the Ben Alexander Student Center to see how fitting the award is.
