NMJC Cosmetology Teaches Girl Scouts
9/27/2007 11:03:17 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. The New Mexico Junior College Cosmetology department recently coached 12 Junior Girl Scouts in the proper techniques of skin care, personal hygiene, and hair care. While learning about the importance of each of these areas - which will help earn the Looking Your Best merit badge - the young ladies were treated to mini facials and a hairstyle.
When asked about the experience of coming out to NMJC, Junior Girl Scout Tajenai Dunn explained, "It's fun because it's good to learn how to do new stuff."
Kim Osborne, Junior Girl Scout Leader for Troop 17040 from Lovington, said, "This is a great experience for the girls to learn a personal hygiene routine, since they are at the age where it needs to be established."
