NMJC Takes Twelfth in National Golf Championships

NMJC Takes Twelfth in National Golf Championships photo 5/23/2007 9:26:30 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. The New Mexico Junior College men's golf team recently placed twelfth at the National Junior College Athletic Association National Championships held in Mesa, AZ.

NMJC golf team shot 298-293-298-302, with an overall score of 1191 from the four-round tournament. The Thunderbirds finished 55 strokes behind national champions Scottsdale Community College.

T-Bird golfer Sebastian Gunnarson, a sophomore from Jonkoping, Sweden, tied for eighth place in the overall individual standings, having shot 69-68-77-71, making 285 his composite score.
