NMJC Open House Set for Tuesday, April 11

New Mexico Junior College invites the community to an Open House, Tuesday, April 11 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Ben Alexander Student Learning Center, on the west side of the campus, across from the track and field.
“We realize that many people cannot come to the JC during the day, when we are normally open,” said Dr. Michele Clingman, Dean of Enrollment Management. “This open house is in the early evening, to accommodate people’s busy schedules, discover the various degree programs we offer, and answer questions about going to college.”
Visitors can take a tour of the campus, and speak with counselors and advisors. Financial aid experts will show people how to apply for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), or one of the many scholarships available.
“We want to show the community that there are many options available to take classes at New Mexico Junior College,” states Clingman. “We try to work around a person’s hectic schedule by offering online and night classes, as well as daytime courses. The JC also provides certifications in various subjects, for those who don’t want their degree at this time.”
The event is free, and door prizes will be awarded.
