NMJC Rodeo Qualifies for College National Finals Rodeo

NMJC Rodeo Qualifies for College National Finals Rodeo photo 4/24/2007 1:38:00 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. Based on their performances at the Tarleton State University - Central Texas Rodeo, New Mexico Junior College rodeo team members Alicia Sandoval and Kyle French qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this past weekend.

Sandoval finished second in barrel racing, securing a second place finish regionally. French finished third in bull riding, securing a second place finish regionally.

Other NMJC rodeo members finishing in the top ten were: Dustin Round/Levi Simpson, first in team roping; Jamie Mader/JW Townsend, fifth in team roping; and John Clark, second in steer wrestling.

The College National Finals Rodeo will be June 9 - 16, 2007, in Casper, Wyoming.
