Family Fun Day Bug-A-Thon

4/28/2015 10:43:15 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. The last Family Fun Day for the spring will be Saturday, May 2, with a BUG-A-THON movie marathon.  Starting at 10:00 a.m. visitors will enjoy all day bug movies at the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame.

Four great movies will be shown:

  • 10:00 a.m.       “ANTZ” (animated film, made in 1998)
  • 11:30 a.m.       “A Bugs Life” (animated film, made in 1998)
  • 1:00 p.m.         “Bee Movie” (animated film, made in 1998)
  • 2:30 p.m.         “The Fly” (live action film, made in 1958)

Visitors will receive free admission, popcorn and beverages all day.  Plus families will also receive free admission to the museum’s exhibit, “BUGS: Outside the Box”, currently on display through May 31, 2015.  The exhibit showcases enlarged insect sculptures, including a ten-foot tall beetle and the five-foot wingspan of a butterfly.
