Spring Break Hours for the Museum

The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame, located on the campus of New Mexico Junior College, has announced their hours during Spring Break, March 28 through April 5.
The Museum will maintain regular hours on Saturday, March 28 of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 28 of 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Museum will be closed on Monday, March 30 but will be open Tuesday, March 31st through Saturday, April 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The museum will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 5.
Visitors can see two exhibits:
BUGS OUTSIDE THE BOX showcases a selection of greatly enlarged insect sculptures, each displaying the beauty hidden within the (mini) beasts of the natural world. The exhibit features butterflies with five-foot wingspans, and four-foot long beetles and much more.
LIGHT IN THE DESERT: Photographs from the Monastery of Christ in the Desert by Tony O’Brien, featuring 20 photographs of Tony O’Brien’s year-long residency at Christ in the Desert Monastery north of Santa Fe in the Chama River Canyon Wilderness.
