Summer Youth Basketball Camps
5/23/2014 5:45:39 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. Four-day summer basketball camps for children will take place at New Mexico Junior College June 9-12, at Caster Activity Center. There are two camps to choose from:
Tiny T-Bird Camp is for girls and boys, ages 5-8. It is designed to introduce young children to the game of basketball. Campers will learn basic skills and the rules of the game. Fun activities and contests will be used to encourage excitement about basketball.
Girls Fundamental Camp is for girls ages 9-16. This is a more advanced camp, where campers will learn and practice basic offensive and defensive principals. Participants will compete in team and individual games to increase basketball understanding and enjoyment.
All campers receive a basketball and t-shirt. Campers will need to bring their own lunch, though candy and Gatorade are available for sale at the concession stand. Each camp costs $65 if registration is received by June 1. The cost is $75 after June 1.
