NMJC Celebrates Women's History Month
3/16/2007 11:13:07 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. In honor of Women's History Month, New Mexico Junior College will host an afternoon tea on Tuesday, March 20, from 2-5 pm at the Western Heritage Museum & Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame, just north of the campus circle.
According to NMJC Professor of Government and History Dr. Patty Emmerich, who is coordinating the event, the afternoon promises to provide something for everyone. Hobbs' own Ella Turner will give an inspirational talk, the NMJC Sensations will perform, and there will be refreshments, a networking table, and drawings for prizes that include an NMJC scholarship and dinner at the Black Gold Restaurant.
Attendees to the Museum will also be able to view "Snare," an original exhibit by Sandra Luckett, Professor of Art at NMJC, on display through April 25.
